How to get measure keyword efficiency using Rank Tracker
Have you generated a list of keyword ideas for your site? Then it’s time to single out the most valuable terms and distribute them among your landing pages. This is where keyword analysis comes into play.
To collect keyword research data for a keyword (or a group of keywords), you will need to select the keyword(s) from the active workspace and run the Update KEI process. You can activate it by clicking KEI.

You can interrupt the search process at any moment by hitting Stop (you might need to recheck some of the keywords later then).
When the search is over, you will see a confirmation window with a brief summary of completed tasks.
Please choose how you would like to carry on:
- Add the latest KEI data to your project (Finish)
- Discard the findings (Cancel)
If you click Finish, you’ll find your workspace populated with 4 types of keyword research statistics:
- number of searches,
- expected visits,
- competition,
- and KEI.
The idea is to pick keywords with a sufficient traffic potential and a moderate competition.
