hi again. I dont see an exception to generating the html pages.

Essentially x-cart is a php ecommerce cart system as you probably know. So it does its stuff in php. However, for those who care, we stop the php pages from being viewed via the .htaccess page (as youve mentioned) so that everyone sees the site via an html version of the site that provides static pages. This makes things faster for the customer but also is far better as Im sure you know for search engine bots, which is why many choose to initiate the html engine.

Of course then, the html version is like a snap shot in time, so once Link Assistant has generated and uploaded the new links page, the page in a basic format is then generated with additional code to site it as a middle frame of a complete html page (go see http://www.f4b.com/catalog/Resources-sp-30.html for my efforts so far).

I think Im there with a reasonable process now, Im accepting that LA uploads and the page is then regenerated into a new page.

Thanks for your comments.

Personally, I think you've come up with a great process. Thanks once again for your comments! I'm sure many users will find them very helpful.

Youre welcome, I hope it helps too. A site like mine that turns php into html as part of SEO activity is not uncommon, but this way works well. I think one thing I would say to those with this cart requirement is to ensure that you choose the right link URL from day one and stick to it, I mucked around and then realised I had link partners linking back to more than one link page, so it got messy.

Lastly, a nice unexpected thing, I have had one partner become a supplier! I bet this happens a lot actually. Im very pleased with this supplier and think it will happen again and its all down to LA that this happend.

Ive tailored my link request message to also include a comment about possible opportunities... so now its also... "Partner Assistant" you heard it here first!! Smile
