Correct me if Im wrong, but if I do a search against a particular keyword / phrase targeted at a specific search engine and choose (for example) the first 50 results what the search returns is the list of the first 50 sites that pop up with that search engine.
Therefore, LA can be used to evaluate a market before you enter it. As in, if I find that a given keyword phrase has a list of 50 highly ranked sites, say, all ranking on google above 6, then its going to be a pretty hard entry.
I have seen features on other SEO tools that do additional analysis such as identifying where in each of these sites listed is the keyword / phrase, and if it is in the heading, the domain name, in bold, the density of the keyword / phrase etc.
SO, if LA was able to collect this data as well it could be a great tool for evaluating markets as well.
Does this make sense?

I dont see the features I mentioned above in Link Assistant. Im thinking about the features mentioned in http://www.keywordsanalyzer.com/ as in, keywords in heading? keywords in bold? keyword density? all the top sites that result from a search in a given keyword / phrase. Seems to me Link Assistant could grab this information as it searches against a keyword for partners, so turning it also into an analyser of search markets too.
keywordsanalyzer looks good but I use Macs and I think the features are better added to, rather than being a core of what an application gives.
What do you think?

Keywordelite also offers the functionality Ive described above. I would have throught (unqualified) that this wouldnt be too hard to add since all that is needed is for the application to grab this data when it analyzes each site anyway, its just its going to be collecting more data per site.
On the other hand, I would think this additional use of link assistant would create another big reason to buy it.
What do you think? Link Assistant becomes the evaluator of new markets as well as managing your link plan to grow into that market.
