idea - Have a hand editable field to prioritize keywords
re: Keyword Efficiency Index, or KEI.
Many people using RankTracker (RT) realize there are no KEI #'s for there keywords.
Im in a niche market, so i can also understand this, but the challenge comes when trying to filter or prioritize My top 10 or so keywords out of the 350 keywords in my database.
I read a suggestion post by BILZ hoping to be able to

create custom columns so we can input custom data per keyword.
|
that is, to be able to insert an additional field that can be hand edited, this way you would be able to rank your keywords (or any other things). Or provide an option allowing you to edit the KEI field with a #.
The point here is so you can sort your keywords by priority focusing on your bread and butter.
Even though the KEI is non existent to RT or wherever it gets its data from. Many people use AdWords, so they already know there Actual KeyWord Efficiency. (KE)
This option will be a big help if or when it gets added.
idea - run RT on multiple URL's per session
I also use RT on my 5 competitors sites to watch my competition. They use the same keywords that i do. Instead of having to the same 350 keywords 5 times (once per site or url page)
I would think this would be less taxing on the search engines, and make my job easier.
idea Combine datasets (.stk's)
Its been mentioned before as is the case with me, were a site owner has 2 or 3 or more sites targeting the same keywords. (there are times when this system works better than one site.)
Can there be a option in RT for combining 2 or more sets of URL data (.stk) to simply show your actual combined rankings instead of having to toggle back and forth through 2 or more url's. To show your total rankings.
idea - Have A Drop/Rise Field
Its been mentioned before that RT can show you or alert you when your important keywords have dropped out of the top 10 or so results.
A real $ $aver, It would be nice to have a field that showed you you're prior rank (per search engine) What i mean is the rank from when you last ran RT compared to this current RT keyword update.
This way you could click that field and it would arrange all the keywords in order showing a <#>, indicating how many rankings in the serps they've gone up or down compared to the last time RT was ran.
As for now (to obtain some of these results) I have to copy and past each URL data (.stk) set into excel, add fields, inset formulas and then run filters, but loose history tracking views and much more.
Please, add to this list and or post your reply.

Ace, thank you for your suggestions, they're already on our to-do list and we'll do our best to implement them in one of the following versions Rank Tracker. Great ideas, really, thanks a lot.

We already have a field "Difference" that shows you what you need. Plese see this workspace: "All Keywords (Detailed View)". Or, if it's not what you really mean, please give us some more explanations.
Thank you again! _________________ Search Engine Optimization Software

I would also make these suggestions:
- export historical data in XML format
- turn off case-sensitive mode for the URL matching
Thanks,
Nicolas

You are right. It's already no case-sensitive.
For example, if the URL pattern is "www.mysite.com/case/", it returns both "www.mysite.com/case/..." and "www.mysite.com/CASE/..." results.
Thanks,
Nicolas
