Google Backlinks Thu Apr 17, 2008 1:28 pm

Hi there,

I am sure that I had this working just after buying the software but I can not get any Google backlinks reported - I get a message that the "Backlink analysis was interrupted, no backlinks have been analysed yet" in a dialog box.

Does anyone have any ideas about this ?

Well, now I can see two possible reasons for this:
1) Google doesn't know of and doesn't show ANY backlinks for the site you're trying to analyze.
To find out whether it is true, please tell me a website URL or a keyword you're trying to analyze (you can PM me this info, if you don't want to make it publicly available) -- I'll check it myself then.

2) Google temporarily refused to process your quieries, 'cause you were *hammerring* Google too much. This can be solved by using the new "Random User Agents" and "Human Emulation" features. Besides, using Google and Yahoo! API keys is also very helpful in this case. (P.S. All these features are available through the "Preferences" menu item.)

1st of all - sorry for the delay in geting back to you - work on other sites got in the way Confused

I have just updated to the latest version and I now get the backlinks in Google, not sure why I wasn't before - there were/are backlinks in Google (http://www.forestsoftware.co.uk/ if you wanted to check [not put it as a URL on purpose]). It was the 1st time that we had run the software that day and had not made any large number of queries on the Google db so I don't think it was that either.

Maybe just a glitch in the process between the software, the net and Google somewhere.

Thanks for getting back to me though Very Happy
