When generating link pages, can you sort the links in different ways?
For instance, can you list link partners first, then the rest of the links according to their Link URL ?
Any build options?
Thanks

Take a look here:
http://www.link-assistant.com/tutorial/linkassistant-link-page-template-variables.html
---------------------------------------------------------
<[FOR_EACH_PARTNER]> ... <[/FOR_EACH_PARTNER]> - outputs everything which is located between the opening and the closing meta-tags for every partner from the current category/sub-category/...
Possible parameters:
sortBy - specifies the sorting order. Possible values are:
- "domain" (in this case all partners will be processed in alphabetical order by their domains),
- "description" (partners will be processed in alphabetical order by their descriptions),
- "entranceDate" (partners will be ordered by the date when they were included in your project),
- "name" (obviously, partners will be processed in alphabetical order by their names. Besides, the "name" parameter is used by default).

Getting this to work, thanks
Is there a way to build the listings such that sites that link back are listed at the top of each category, with the remaining links following, all according to sortBy="domain" ?
The idea is to list the partner links first, then list the other links, like ones that you've contacted and are hoping will become link partners
Thanks

OK - sounds simple but what's the exact code you put in between the <[FOR_EACH_PARTNER]> ... <[/FOR_EACH_PARTNER]> tags
Tried all combinations of sortBy="entranceDate" with " in different places, without = etc etc
Can I get an actual full code example please
Thanks

OK, beat it to death: <[FOR_EACH_PARTNER sortBy="entranceDate"]>
I like scanreg's idea of being able to do a 2 stage sort: 1st stage by partners having a reciprocal link to you and then by entranceDate would be great and of course being able to include the * or whatever to indicate the reciprocal link guys as well which we discussed before.

Yeah, loungeoutdoors, thanks... Will be done!
PS: I bet you've been using Zeus before... Am I right? _________________ Search Engine Optimization Software

Actually not Zeus but I looked at it.
I was initially conned into Links4Trade - a total inflexible disaster but now the ability with LinkAssistant to make my pages pretty much anyway I want the questions will keep coming!
Also the pressures of finding the right link partners means that anything a site can offer to make itself more appealing (including Google PR etc) and therefore more likely to get the link back is a huge bonus.
