There is one process I continually go through. There must be a better way to do it.
When I first start a liink exchange I email the prospect, and then set the status of the partner to todays date. 2006/05/11 1st.
If the partner does not exchange, I email a reminder a week later and then set their status to a new date 2006/05/18 2nd.
I continue this for four attemps, and then move the partner to a NO RESPONSE status, or if they do an exchange to Good Link.
This technique manages my link exchanges into a continous flow, (a few each day), sending the emails at regulated intervals, and allowing me to set the number of tries.
The down side is I have to create lots of new statuss, and eventualy having to delete the expired status categories. This delete phase is tedious as you can only select one at a time for deletion.
I would like to see some similar work flow pattern built into the product. This would need a new column which can be sorted, which would contain the key to the inprogress link exchanges. As an exchange starts, progresses and finishes, an exntry will be generated into this coumn, modified through the exchange, and deleted at the end of the exchange. _________________ Steve B
