Hey guys
I recently launched my blog. Running with wordpress as backend software. Now I installed the blog into a directory called - you already guess - /blog. I had on my domain a pageranke of 4 but nothing on my new blog. Any chance to inheritate that into my new site?
Another quesion is about the google webmaster tools. There you can define your standard domain with or without the www. If I set this to www.domain.xy do I have to define this standard again in my htaccess file? The GWT are really confusing sometimes...
Thanks for all your help
Regards
Manuel

do I have to define this standard again in my htaccess file?
No, because thousands of websites work without specifing that and Google do not penalize them...

About redirect you say the pagerank will immediately flows from the old domain to the 'new domain'.
But how about your rankings?
For example: if the old domain has a nr 1 ranking on a specific keyword and I will redirect that one to the other 'new domain', dont you loose your ranking on that keyword? Even not temporarily? (site content and subject remain the same) _________________ Hungry?Order Food Online
