Create a unique header for each category Tue Feb 14, 2006 11:32 am

It would be nice if I could create some unique header text for each of the categories. This would allow me to make sure each page has some unique content other than the links and description.

Mike, you're absolutely right from the point of further SEOing of your pages...

All right, this issue is already in my list of improvemnts Wink I'm not sure that it'll become available extremely soon, but... who knows...

Thank you for your great idea!

Did you ever get anywhere with this?

Most of my links pages are supplemental in Googles index and the key things that would help this are having unique meta data for each links page and unique content (Other than just links).

I started a week ago to place the category name into the keywords and description. Will have to wait and see.

Let me add my 2 cents here.

It would alos be nice to place a short description on each category page not only for SEO's but as a brief description for the user's of these pages.

Just a thought.

I totally agree with that.

All my link pages are PR0 and the good example is that the adsense ads distinguishes hardly the different categories (the ad is not relevant).

So we MUST have the following entries for each category:
- title <---- IMPORTANT
- keywords
- description <--- IMPORTANT

Do you plan this for release 3?

Thank you,
Fred

Please do not forget that you ALREADY can customize (and optimize) any of these HTML elements (<title>, <meta>-s, etc) by using, for example, Category Name. For example, you can stuff your category name with keywords, and then use the following line in the Links Page Template:
Code:
<title><[CATEGORY_NAME/]> - my resources</title>

This will help you to have necessary keywords in your web page titles.

Yes, sure! This will definitely be there...
