I have Bit Defender as my security on my system and am not behind a proxy. I'm not able to use the program because it states it cannot connect to the internet. I disable my firewall and it allow connection. I then turn my firewall back on and allow the program in the firewall setting and will not connect.
Any suggestions as to how I can keep my firewall active and use the program?

Hi cybermatrix,
The thing is that just like all our products SEO SpyGlass is based on the latest Java technology. To be able to work with the tool you need to grant access to javaw.exe file (Java Runtime Environment) in your firewall settings.
To do this, please, switch your Bitdefender settings to Advanced View and go to Firewall > Rules. Then you need to add a new rule for javaw.exe configured exactly as in the screenshot below. The file javaw.exe can be found in the folder where your JRE was installed (the default path can be seen in the screenshot).
If the problem still persists, even after you've configured the firewall, please, contact Bit Defender support, since the problem certainly lies with the Firewall, not SEO SpyGlass. _________________ Search Engine Optimization Software
