Goosh
Just ran a 157 keyword list with Human Emulation on default settings. Added a Yahoo API and set it off.

After being really slow 'cause of the Human Emulation Yahoo! decided to check the first 10 results and then Fail! on them all. I was using Yahoo.co.uk (All the web).

Yahoo hasnt worked for me for ages and has always gave me a 999 error after the first couple of keword checks (with human emulation on and off). I have over 15 clients with 1000+ keywords that need checking and with Human Emulation on it will take a couple of days to get the results back Sad

Any ideas or suggestions, cause this is starting to get beyond a joke and making me think of either dropping checks on Yahoo! or looking for a different provider (don't want to Sad)

I've been out since my last post. Im back to see that a subsequent search on MSN was fine. Seems a little intermittent right now. I think sometimes its hard to put a finger on it (for me) earlier I was going to mail to say I had total failure on all SEs ... but then I remembered removing the ethernet cable form my computer :O)

In case anyone was not aware, I understand that there has been a Google Dance over the past few days. I have at least one application that is not working yet because Google hasn't settled down yet. This maybe why we are having some problems here.

If anyone knows more about this I would be happy to hear but I do know individuals have been getting new rankings this week

Yes, there have been changes in SE algos recently, and our developers had to fix the software. So please make sure you're running the laters version of Rank Tracker (should be 4.2.5). To download it, please use this link:

With this update, all your searches must be running smoothly.

Yahoo.co.uk still failing with version 4.2.5 + API key Fri May 02, 2008 3:07 pm

I am still getting 'failed' messages when checking rankings for yahoo.co.uk (all the web) and (uk only). Yahoo.com is working though.

I have upgraded to the latest version (4.2.5) and entered a Yahoo API key.

Any idea why this is happening? Please help, I'm desperate to get this sorted!

Are you using a Yahoo! API key? If not, please see this topic:
